"Many times, people ask me questions about relationships, and I always tell them that for there to be love in a relationship, there must be an interdependency between two people. There cannot be love when each person thinks only of him- or herself. In fact, this emphasis on “me” is where most relationships fall apart.
When you are in a relationship with somebody simply for a self-serving purpose (no matter what that purpose might be), the relationship is great for a while, but then it dies. However, when there is a spiritual match—when two people are on the same spiritual level; when their consciousness, energy, and purpose is to create and to do things together that will alter the way the world exists—then there is a foundation upon which true love can grow and last."
